Yori and Tiffany Ludvigson, the founders of Celestial Youth Retreat (CYR), met at Snow College and were married in the Manti Temple. They have four beautiful daughters, two currently attending Snow College and two in high school. They have worked with a variety of youth programs for over 20 years. They have had the opportunity to speak throughout the intermountain west at Youth Conferences, Camp Heleman, Camp Ruth, Young Women’s Camp, Boy Scouts, and a variety of Firesides.

Yori spent the majority of his life as an educator and football coach while Tiffany volunteered at the schools and cared for their girls. They took a break from teaching and ran their own businesses for seven years but in 2008 Yori went to the ER with a massive tumor that engulfed his kidney and took up most his right side (21inches long & 13 inches wide). The doctors did not know if Yori would live through the surgery. After a long stay in the hospital and recovery Yori was ready for life again.

This experience changed the Ludvigson’s outlook on life. They decided they would dedicate their lives to help the youth. They left the business world and went back to teaching high school and coaching. Through these experiences, they realized that a youth’s relationship with their Savior, their family and close friends are some of the most influential factors in their life. Tiffany and Yori wanted to bring youth together in a unique environment to foster deeper relationships with the Savior and with each other. Through the Ludvigson’s life experiences and a desire to help young men and women Celestial Youth Retreat was born.
